If there is nothing I’m sure of in this world, I’m certain about two things. The first already happened which is what I always envisioned when I finally had it, did not feel much like it again. The second would be- I’m going to yen for more and when I get it (you know what, let’s not delve into cycles).
I was opportune to attend a program recently and the words of just two persons sat with me for a long time.
Paraphrasing them, “I’d always want to be bigger than what I currently am and when I’m finally bigger, I’d want to be bigger. Let us remember to enjoy moments”. And that was it.
Looking back and counting my blessings, I really want to let you in on what’s been happening. To say that every moment did not reveal parts of me I was oblivious of would be an understatement.
From current threads online and offline, it would not be wrong to say that we’ve all got some serious or trivial issues going on in our lives. As crazy as it may sound, thinking you’re the only person going through these times is pretty much the same as saying you’re the only human being in the world. Well, it’s obvious you’re not*smiles*.
However we see this situations, whether for good or not, I’m positive that these things would refine us as we grow through the process.
The older we get, some of our most precious assets will be the memories that we have created throughout the course of our lives.
It’s funny how most times in social gatherings especially when it relates to graduating from one level of education to another, one popular question asked is; what would you change about yourself if you are to go back in time?
Beautiful and amazing responses are given. However, realistically we cannot go back in time to change anything about everything that has happened. Whether the good or the bad. No. We can’t laugh out more loudly than we did.
We cannot love more than we did neither can we read more than we did. We can’t help others more than we did neither can we sleep more than how we should have. And it’s okay. We live in the present.
Reality is what you are experiencing in this very moment; what you are going through right now. Sometimes we want to escape that reality. But when we stay in the present, we are fully engaged in our lives. I do not believe there is one perfect way to live life neither would I believe in a rigidly solo life. This is my view. You’re here now.
