ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS…
YOU! I wouldn’t mind a new pair of sneakers too. 🙂
So it isn’t too early for either of us to make a wish since the yuletide season has already started. It might be Noel everywhere else, but maybe it still feeling like July where you are. Well, let’s talk. I mean, read frenzy and chills.
In as much as it’s Christmas, then we take it as more than a day. It’s tradition for most of us, it’s about family, love, hymns, food, carols and the list goes on and on. Just being together. It is indeed special!!
So, listed below are ten things I love about Christmas and even though it ain’t some whitish Christmas, here are small steps to take and make that would add extra spice to this Christmas
1. Quality time with friends and family
A whole lot has happened this year thus far, I mean it has been a year indeed filled with lots and lots of happenings. Moments spent with our loved ones cannot be sidelined and would be cherished for times longer than we think. Spending quality time with friends, going out, sitting indoors to catch up, seeing movies and going on those escapades you once went on is important. Sometimes, family could be everything. And friends too. Plus good food.
2. Classic Christmas movies
Up until now, (except I see another lovely epic heart warming movie), my favorite movie remains ‘the best man holiday’ written and directed by Malcolm D. Lee. I saw the movie with my roommate way back to my freshman year. And no we didn’t have to go to the cinema. This way, you create moments but try to take someone special along.
The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and of generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things. Thomas S. Monson
3. Carols and music
Sing a song of songs singing a song. *ahahah* you’d definitely do a victory dance over me when it comes to knowing the lyrics of songs. From hark the heralds to the first Noel to all I want for Christmas is you. Learning the lyrics or singing along would turn out to be more fun than anticipated.
4. Nigeria Christmas decors
Yaas! The way we decorate our homes here in Nigeria is unique in its way. It has to do with red and green materials on door posts and lightings that sometimes hum Christmas songs. A selected few use trees though. Choose to do something creative and welcoming with family members. Remember, the goal is to spice things up!

Oh my. Lights are lit.💥If you live in an environment where power supply is based on a time table, then you’d appreciate the yuletide season more. Decorate your houses and life and just light up everywhere.

6. Holidays are yay!
Yeah! Christmastide spells holiday. A period of less work and more free time for some persons and vice versa for others. We connect and reconnect with our loved ones and persons we get to see once in a year🤗😊
7. Stockings and the weather
Apart from the fact that the weather gets to be super cold, I mean who doesn’t like his or her feet feeling warm in your favourite stockings? Gone are the months of “why do you want to suffocate yourself”😂
8. Givers never lack
Never! Not a nursery jab this time but the truth. This period is a time to do the littlest deed and see the amazing effect in another person’s live. Helping the poor, giving out, feeding people and all. Exchanging gifts, wrapping and unwrapping presents, surprises and sharing the love are part of the simple things I love about Christmas.
“For it is in giving that we receive”.- Francis of Assisi
9. Comm’on let’s do this!
You never know how important your presence is until your parent or older relation needs your help for one thing or the other. From cooking to baking, to keeping them company and going through old pictures. I love being involved in preparations and every good thing associated with the month. Although, the lazy in me enjoys coming through🙈

10. Capture moments
Thanks to our amazing smartphones we do not have to necessarily walk to a studio for a simple but nice family picture. Pictures keep moments alive and vivid. So in between the merriments, laughter and fun. Take one or two pictures. Selfies do wonders too.
So there you have it! 10 things I love about 🎄Christmas 😉I’m really curious to know what you love about Christmas. Let’s spill😘
Stay Confident lovelies
